What are apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are a government funded Training and Development Programme aimed at employees who are under 22 years of age.
Apprenticeships are available at two levels, lasting between 9-18 months and depending on experience.
Harlow ITeC offers apprenticeship programmes in:
- Using IT
- IT Install and Support
- Customer Service
- Business Administration
- Call Handling
Apprenticeships provide:
- Fully funded workbased training
- Flexible training, adaptable to the requirements and workload of your company
- They result in a nationally recognised qualification
- A positive commitment to development from both the employer and the young person.
What does the training programme consist of?
- A National Vocational Qualification, including a portfolio of workbased evidence of 'Real Life' tasks.
- Training in Key Skills including; Written and verbal communications, Application of Number, Teamworking, Motivation and Self Development
- A 'Technical Certificate', delivered on a day release basis (with is a nationally recognised qualification in it's own right).
In addition, Harlow ITeC offers 3 DAYS FREE TRAINING on selected Microsoft Office Fast Track IT courses.

What are the responsibilities of the Employer?
Time needs to be allocated to the training and assessment of each apprentice. Apprenticeships can spur and establish new training systems within the company.
